Whangarei A&P Society are proud to add a brand-new jumping event to our equestrian calendar. After an Open Day in 2019, Horse of the North will be back in 2021. The event is aimed at our local equestrian groups, trades people and the general public.  Competitors are judged on English Working Hunter style jumps, with changes of rein. After jumping, competitors are also judged on conformation, style and manners.

This year Horse of the North was cancelled due to Covid-19.  However, in 2021, Horse of the North will act as the Championship Title Class for ALL Northern Districts A&P Shows.

This means that Champion or Reserve winners in Working Hunter or Hunter classes at ANY Northern Districts A&P Shows in 2019/20 or 2020/21 season will qualify for Horse of the North 2021.
