Whangarei Agricultural & Pastoral Society’s purpose is Rural Excellence – getting the message out there and bringing communities together to share rural excellence and knowledge.  We showcase the importance of agriculture; recognize excellence in the rural community; engage and enable people to participate and endeavour to influence community and the next generation.  Most known for our annual A&P Show at Barge Showgrounds, we do even more to achieve our purpose:

Horse measuring dates

We are pleased to announce that Horse Measuring is back at Barge Showgrounds for another year!

Measuring dates for the 2022/23 season are as follows:

Tuesday 2nd August – 10-11am

Sunday 7th August – 10am-12pm

Thursday 25th August – 10-11am

Sunday 28th August – 10am-12pm

Sunday 11th September – 10am-12pm

Thursday 29th September – 5.30-7.30pm

Sunday 9th October – 12-2pm

Tuesday 10th January – 6-7pm

‘Just wanted to give you all a quick update on my first semester at Lincoln. I have loved getting to know Lincoln campus and have certainly made some lifelong friends as we spend this first year together in the halls of residence! I have recently received my grades and i’m doing well. The scholarship was such a great help, it paid for my first year accommodation and i’m so grateful.’
